Für Menschen die ihre Bewegungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit verloren haben, gibt es oft keine Möglichkeit sich ihrer Umwelt mitteilen zu können. Neue Ansätze in der Wissenschaft geben diesen Menschen nun Hoffnung.
Der Neurowissenschaftler Prof. Niels Birbaumer von der Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen berichtet in seinem Vortrag aus der Reihe „exkurs – Einblick in die Welt der Wissenschaft“ über neue Erkenntnisse in der Hirnforschung, mit Hilfe von Hirnaktivität die Steuerung von Prothesen oder Computer zu übernehmen.
Verblüffende Einblicke in die Struktur unseres Gehirns gibt es am Mittwoch, den 23 Februar 2011 ab 19 Uhr im Wissenschaftszentrum in Bonn.
