CIRP LCE & IPS² 2011 - 18th CIRP International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering and IPS² 2011

The 18th episode of the CIRP International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering (May 2nd - 4th, 2011) and the 3rd episode of the CIRP International Conference on Industrial Product Service Systems (May 5th- 6th, 2011) are jointly organized.

The scope of the both conferences is to review and discuss the advances, research results and industrial improvements in the area of life cycle engineering and product service systems.

The objective of this conference is to provide an international forum of researchers to discuss the visions, state of the art and innovations in these fields and to disseminate the recent advances and their views on perspectives of these areas and thus to generate a significant impact on the future of life cycle engineering and product service systems.

Background and purpose of the two meetings of the International Academy for Production Engineering are as follows.

CIRP International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering (LCE)

The 18th Life Cycle Engineering Conference (LCE) 2011 continues a long tradition of scientific meetings under the aegis of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP). For many years extensive research in life cycle assessment, product development and sustainable manufacturing has produced a vast pool of knowledge, the application of which is still hampered by reluctant implementation of serious environmental strategies in practice. A recent boost in global environmental awareness now offers a unique opportunity to further the application of existing knowledge and accelerate developments towards more sustainable engineering solutions for future industrial products.

CIRP International Conference on Product Service Systems (IPS²)

The 3rd Industrial Product Service Systems Conference (IPS²) 2011 respects that manufacturers in developed countries today regard service activities as increasingly important. Some manufacturing firms are strategically shifting from a "product seller" towards a "service provider". Thus, the concept named Industrial Product-Service Systems (IPS2) has been obtaining attention. An IPS2 is defined as "an integrated product and service offering that delivers value in use". This conference will focus on industrial and academic knowledge/experiences with PSS and various business activities that support PSS.

Both conferences will be hosted by the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology at the Technische Universität Braunschweig.

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
