Vor dem Hintergrund der derzeit diskutierten beschleunigten Energiewende und der geforderten Minimierung der CO2-Emissionen, besitzt die CO2-Abtrennung aus Kohlekraftwerken eine zentrale Bedeutung. Vom 20. bis 22. Juni 2011 treffen sich deshalb Fachleute aus Forschung, Industrie, Energieversorgungsunternehmen und Politik in Frankfurt am Main zur 2nd International Conference on Energy Process Engineering (ICEPE): Efficient Carbon Capture for Coal Power Plants.
Die Veranstaltung gibt einen umfassenden Überblick über relevante Wege zur CO2-Abtrennung und deren energetische Effizienz.
