Die Philologisch-Kulturwissenschaftliche Fakultät will mit der jährlichen Einladung eines "Writer in Residence" einen – in Österreich – neuen Weg gehen, um Forschung und Lehre über Literatur und Begegnung mit der Literatur zu verbinden. Im Sommersemester 2011 hat ein Team der Innsbrucker Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft, bestehend aus Sebastian Donat, Martin Sexl und Martin Fritz, den Berliner Autor Frank Klötgen nach Innsbruck geholt. Er wird eine Lehrveranstaltung abhalten und mehrmals in Innsbruck lesen und auftreten.
