Also, we want to identify the needs for a more permanent knowledge exchange on a European level for that topic.
The workshop will be held in English and is intended for police officers from European police forces who either (a) have experience in and can report of using social media to communicate with citizens or (b) work on establishing strategies and work practices in dealing with social media as a means of communication in their forces and would like present challenges and open questions. All participants are invited to give a short presentation (5–10 min) of their current work on social media as a tool for police communication.
The workshop takes place at the Fraunhofer FIT campus in Sankt Augustin near Bonn, Germany. Detailed travel information can be found at: http://www.fit.fraunhofer.de/profil/anfahrt_en.html
As the workshop will start at 9:00 AM, participants may choose to arrive on the evening before the workshop and join an invited dinner in the downtown area of Bonn.
