The Israel-Palestine conflict as images laboratory: The birth of the Israeli Palestinian conflict coincide with the birth of television. Since and throughout the twenty century and up to now, this conflict serves as media laboratory for reporting technique and technologies. Illustrating with images, the conference will show these intimate relations through more then 60 years of French TV coverage, and will ask the question about the symbiotic interactions of representation.
Dr. Roei Amit, Head of Publishing & New Media at INA, French Audiovisual Institute. PhD in political philosophy of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, EHESS Paris; teaching at INA Sup’ media faculty.
