Die EU-Kommissarin für die Digitale Agenda, Neelie Kroes, hat ihre Teilname bereits als Hauptrednerin der Veranstaltung zugesagt. Im Mittelpunkt der Vorträge und Diskussionen zum Umstieg auf den neuen Internetstandard steht der Nutzen des IPv6-Protokolls für die mobile Kommunikation. Neben Aspekten wie Car-to-Car Communication oder Connected Car soll erörtert werden, wie die Umstellung auf IPv6 beschleunigt werden und was getan werden kann, um den potenziellen Anwendern den Nutzen von IPv6 zu verdeutlichen. Auch Aspekte wie Datensicherheit und der Schutz der Privatsphäre in Zusammenhang mit dem neuen Standard werden ein Thema sein. Im Rahmen der Spitzenveranstaltung findet die Preisverleihung des IPv6-Contests, des internationalen Ideenwettbewerbs des IPv6-Rats, statt. Weitere Informationen zum Wettbewerb:
