Half a year after the nuclear disaster at Fukushima on 11 March 2011 the repercussions are still inestimable. Japan faces enormous environmental, economic, and social challenges and in Germany the event has led to a complete
change of the energy policy strategy. Japanese and German experts will discuss key issues facing both countries such as whether the new German strategy would work in a Japanese context, alternatives to nuclear power, barriers to renewable energy diffusion and how they can be overcome. The effects of the nuclear disaster on society and what both countries can learn from foreign policies with regards to nuclear power, and disaster recovery will also be on the agenda during this transnational exchange of perspectives.
The Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP), University of Tokyo, and the Hertie School of Governance have been academic partners since 2009.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
