Adaptation to climate change presents challenges for established systems and structures. How can climate change and the adaptation to its consequences
be understood within these structures? Can they be understood as one part of general and permanent transformation processes (e. g. social, environmental and economic changes) or as a caesura, that leads to fundamental alteration? Furthermore, how can appropriate strategies be developed? Do we need entirely new arrangements or is it sufficient to adapt and develop existing structures
and instruments further? Which option could be easier to achieve? Which option seems to be more likely to be successful? The PhD workshop will provide doctoral students working in the field of climate change in social sciences
(including spatial science and economics) the opportunity to share and discuss research experiences (e.g. project ideas , theoretical and methodical
approaches) and gain feedback from other doctoral students as well as experienced researchers.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
