Es wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) über weitere fünf Jahre mit insgesamt 8,5 Millionen Euro gefördert. Neben Grußworten der Präsidenten der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU Berlin), Prof. Dr. Hendrik Olbertz, und der Technischen Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Steinbach, stellen die neu berufenen Professoren und Arbeitsgruppenleiter des Zentrums sowie der kürzlich ausgezeichnete Bernstein Preisträger 2011 ihre Arbeit dar.
