Das Symposium beschäftigt sich mit modernen Methoden der Astronomie, um den Geheimnissen des Universums näherzukommen und stellt aktuelle Projekte und neue Erkenntnisse der Astrophysik vor. Diese wären nicht möglich ohne den Einsatz modernster Hochtechnologie. Für die Industrie stellt die Entwicklung astronomischer Großgeräte deshalb oft eine besondere Herausforderung dar. Auch dieser Aspekt wird beleuchtet.
Referenten: Prof. Dr. Simon White, Dr. Knud Jahnke, Prof. Dr. Thomas Henning und Dr. Peter Hartmann. Konzeption: Prof. Dr. Michael Grewing und Prof. Dr. Karsten Danzmann.
