RAVE International Conference 2012, press conference, offshore test field alpha ventus, 8. Mai 2012

Operators, developers and researchers will present in an international conference from 8 to 10 May 2012 in Bremerhaven the operational experience and test results of the first German offshore wind farm "alpha ventus".
What effect do factors such as wind, weather and waves have on nacelles, steel towers and rotor blades?
Are offshore wind power plants capable of withstanding the stresses and strains they are forced to undergo far out at sea for the next twenty years?
What influence does the construction and operation of the plants have on the sensitive ecosystem of the North Sea?
How can the electricity be transported onshore and integrated into the electricity grid?

These and other questions will be answered by speakers at the conference and your press conference dialog partners:

Almost 300 representatives from science and industry have already registered for the conference. Over a third of them are from Belgium, Denmark, France, Norway, Spain and UK.

In addition to the press conference for journalists, a limited number of places are available for free participation in the conference. Journalists can participate in the excursion to the offshore wind farm and test field alpha ventus at the reduced fee of 55 €. Please register using the keyword "press" at www.rave2012.de. Please also send us a copy of your press identity card.
