Prof. em. John R. Oneal ireferiert zum Thema „The Effects of the International Security Environment on National Military Expenditures“.

John R. Oneal ist Professor und früherer Director of International Studies an der University of Alabama. Er hat zahlreichen Beiträge in renommierten Zeitschriften, u.a. in International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution und World Politics veröffentlicht und zählt zu den am häufigsten zitierten Friedens- und Konfliktforscher.
Sein Buch Triangulating Peace: Democracy, Interdependence, and International Organizations wurde 2010 von der International Studies Association als bestes Buch der Dekade ausgezeichnet.
