Am 5. und 6. Juni sind die Wissenschaftler im Rahmen des „Wissenschaftsjahres 2012 – Zukunftsprojekt ERDE“ an Stand 14 im Zelt 5 im Garten des Bundespräsidialamt zu finden. Die Woche der Umwelt findet zum vierten Mal statt und stellt Deutschlands innovativste Umweltprojekte vor. Organisiert wird sie von der Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).
Aus 550 Bewerbungen für die „Woche der Umwelt“ hat die Jury ca. 200 Aussteller für die Umwelt-Schau ausgewählt. Das Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung (UFZ) wird sich als einer der Aussteller mit den Projekten „PRONAS“, „Tagfalter-Monitoring“, „SOKO Bio“, „ARSOlux“ und „Nachhaltiges Landmanagement“ präsentieren.
Es werden über 12 000 Besucher aus Wirtschaft, Politik und Wissenschaft zur Woche der Umwelt erwartet. Anschauliche und umfangreiche Projekte werden in einer 3 000 Quadratmeter großen Zeltstadt präsentiert. Zudem finden Diskussionsrunden, ca. 80 Foren zu Fachthemen wie „Innovative Umwelttechnik“, „Mobilität“ usw. statt.
