Der Referent, Herr Dr. Dmitri I. Svergun (European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Hamburg Outstation c/o DESY), spricht zum Thema "Synchrotron Small Angle X-ray Scattering from Macromolecular Solutions".
Abstract: Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) is a powerful method for the structural analysis of macromolecular solutions allowing one to study the structure of native particles and complexes. Novel data analysis methods significantly enhanced resolution and reliability of structural models (see e.g. Mertens and Svergun, J Struct Biol, 2010. 172, 128, for a review). The method provides low resolution macromolecular shapes ab initio, quarternary structure of macromolecular complexes by rigid body modeling and quantitatively characterizes mixtures and flexible systems. The new developments in synchrotron SAXS will be illustrated by examples of practical applications. to different objects.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
