Viel hat sich getan, seit MTV 1981 zum ersten Mal mit dem Musikvideo „Video Killed the Radio Star“ der Buggles auf Sendung ging. Nachdem in den letzten Jahren das Programm der einstigen Marktführer im deutschsprachigen Raum MT V und VIVA zunehmend mit Formaten gefüllt wurde, die nur am Rande mit Musik zu tun haben, hat sich nicht zuletzt durch YouTube eine neue Kultur des Musikfernsehens im Internet entwickelt. Ein Vorreiter in diesem Bereich ist das Kölner Unternehmen Putpat. Tobias Trosse, einer der Gründer von Putpat sowie früherer Programmchef und technischer Direktor von VIVA Plus wird mit den Teilnehmern des Workshops über die Zukunft des Musikfernsehens diskutieren.
