Viele US-amerikanische Fernsehserien sind Beispiele dafür, dass Fernsehen sowohl unterhaltend als auch thematisch originell, filmisch innovativ und anspruchsvoll sein kann. Dem Erfolg dieser TV-Serien geht eine Ringvorlesung auf den Grund, die jeweils dienstags ab 19.30 Uhr im Filmhaus Saarbrücken (Mainzer Straße 8) stattfindet. Am kommenden Dienstag steht die skurrile TV-Serie „Twin Peaks“ aus den Jahren 1990 und 1991 im Mittelpunkt.
Die Veranstaltungen bieten jeweils eine Kombination aus Vortrag und Filmausschnitten. Der Eintritt für Einzeltermine beträgt 5 Euro, ein Gesamtticket für alle Termine kostet 25 Euro.
