As part of the Social Value of Materials (SOVAMAT) initiative (www.sovamat.org), the SAM conferences aim to address the issues of sustainability assessment, and to foster the interaction of the soft and hard sciences by bringing together an interdisciplinary research community to discuss new metrics developments and to promote strategies towards sustainable development.
We encourage the participation of sociologists, engineers, industrial ecologists, LCA practitioners, political scientists, and economists, interested in communicating and disseminating innovative ideas on these topics. Previous SAM conference programs, articles, and presentations are available on the SOVAMAT web site.
Proposal for papers are expected to be sent to Adriana Carvallo Aceves with copy to Anne-Laure Hettinger by January 15, 2013. The abstract template is available for download on the SOVAMAT website www.sovamat.org

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
