Die internationale Tagung führt Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler der Klassischen Archäologie, Mittelalterlichen Geschichte und Kunstgeschichte zusammen, um in einem epochenübergreifenden und interdisziplinären Kolloquium die Kontexte und Bedeutungsebenen bildlicher Darstellungen von Häfen und Hafenstädten zu untersuchen.
