The Hands-On Pichia Course will explain and demonstrate opportunities for efficiently using the Pichia expression system. It will explore underlying concepts and deliver insights into current laboratory practices and step-by-step protocols.
In particular, a number of Pichia pastoris‘ special features will be addressed to show how its full molecular capacity can be exploited when employed for advanced production processes. Based on the practical experiences gained during the course the participants will develop a general decision tree to support optimal protein production performance using Pichia pastoris.
In laboratory sessions and small group workshops, participants will discuss suitable solutions for proposed case studies. Participants will be provided with supporting material to guide them through the course.
This course is aimed at researchers from industry, academia and research institutions, with a solid background in microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry or biochemical engineering, and experience in protein expression, who are interested in learning about current best laboratory practices for the use of Pichia pastoris.
