Um 16.30 Uhr wird der Kulturtag von Prof. Dr. Cornelia Ruhe, Dottoressa Alessandra Volpe und Dottore Giovanni Ciani im Fuchs-Petrolub Festsaal im Barockschloss eröffnet. Im Anschluss widmet sich Prof. Andrea Santangelo ab 17.00 Uhr in seinem Vortrag „Non solo Galileo: i successi dell’astrofisica italiana fra tecnologia e creatività“ der italienischen Astrophysik. Um 18.30 Uhr folgen unter dem Motto „Giuseppe Verdi – Un ritratto in parole e musica“ Lektüren von Dr. Bianca Barrattelli und Dott. Giovanni Ciani, die das Leben des großen Komponisten durch seine Briefe, Bilder von wichtigen Orten und Personen und durch seine Musik erzählen. Musikalisch begleitet wird die Lektüre durch die Opernsängerin Diana Haller. Ein Konzert mit Diana Haller bildet ab 20.30 Uhr auch den krönenden Abschluss der Veranstaltung. Die Mezzosopranistin, die zurzeit unter anderem die Flora in „La traviata“ an der Oper Stuttgart singt, wird den Kulturtag mit Arien von Vincenzo Bellini, Antonio Caldara und Gioachino Rossini ausklingen lassen und so die Zuhörer die unvergleichliche Musik Italiens live erleben lassen.
