The 2014 congress will be hosted for the first time in the Alps and will dedicate half of the scientific programme to mountain emergency medicine. A special theme day highlights rescue in Nepal with presentations of various international project initiatives to implement terrestrial and air rescue chains in Nepal.
This event is an initiative of the ISMM (International Society for Mountain Medicine) in partnership with the International Commission for Mountain Emergency Medicine (ICAR MEDCOM), Medical Commission of the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UIAA MEDCOM) and Wilderness Medical Society (WMS).
