Joint Conference: Ger. Symposium on Zoonoses Research/7th International Conference on Emerging Zoon.

The Joint Conference: German Symposium on Zoonoses Research and 7th International Conference on Emerging Zoonoses will provide an interdisciplinary forum for physicians, veterinarians, epidemiologists, immunologists, virologists, microbiologists, public health experts and others concerned with the ever increasing problems associated with the transmission of infectious diseases between animals and humans.

Events in the last year have shown us that we are still very vulnerable to sudden outbreaks of previously unknown zoonotic pathogens such as the new coronavirus causing the Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). Pathogenic influenza viruses continue to emerge throughout the world in swine, birds, ducks and people. There is a significant increase in the awareness that zoonoses threaten both human and animal health. Therefore, research and policy must focus on a “One Health” perspective at the animal-human interface in many different local and national environments.

In order to properly address all these issues the conference program will be broken down to different sessions each organized by experts in the respecitve fields. Topics will include:
- (New and Re-) Emerging Zoonotic Diseases
- Epidemiology, Modeling and Prediction
- Ecology of Emerging Zoonoses
- Reservoirs of Zoonoses
- Risk Assessment & Public Health
- Novel Methods and Diagnostics
- Pathogen-Cell Interaction and Immunity
- Infrastructures for Zoonoses Research.

The Joint Conference: German Symposium in Zoonoses Research 2014 and 7th International Conference on Emerging Zoonoses http://www.zoonoses2014.com in Berlin builds on five successful German Symposia on Zoonoses Research and six successful International Conferences on Emerging Zoonoses.

Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
