14th International Symposium on High Pressure Low Temperature Plasma Chemistry (HAKONE XIV)

HAKONE is a bi-annual symposium bringing together scientists and engineers working on subjects in the basic research and plasma processing of high pressure (typically 1 bar) and low temperature plasma chemistry.

HAKONE XIV is jointly organized by the Institute of Physics (IfP) at the University of Greifswald and the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP Greifswald).

Scope

From the scope of the first conferences, which covered the mechanisms of dielectric barrier and corona discharges for ozone synthesis and basic oxidants generation, the area of interest has extended over the years to include new emergent and innovative fields, such as and applications in water treatment and environment protection, biomedical plasma application, surface modification, microplasmas, plasma jets, alternative materials, fuels and other interdisciplinary topics.
Furthermore, HAKONE aims to provide a forum for sharing knowledge, experience and creative ideas in an informal atmosphere. The program will include a welcoming party, a conference dinner and a conference tour. During the symposium an industrial exhibition is planned as well.
The format of HAKONE XIV will follow that of the previous symposia. The program will include invited lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions. There will be no parallel sessions and sufficient time will be available for informal discussions. The language of the symposium is English. According to HAKONE tradition, the symposium will be limited to about 120 participants.

Topics

1) Fundamental problems of high pressure discharges
2) Modelling and diagnostics
3) Molecular synthesis and decomposition
4) Ozone generation and applications
5) Generation of radiation in high pressure discharges
6) Depollution and environmental applications
7) Surface processing and technology (cleaning, coating, etching and modification, equipment)
8) Biological applications
9) Miscellaneous

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
