Zehn Minuten haben die Slammerinnen und Slammer Zeit, das Publikum für ihre Forschung zu begeistern. Dabei sind alle Hilfsmittel erlaubt – seien es PowerPoint-Präsentationen, Requisiten oder Experimente. Voraussetzung ist neben dem wissenschaftlichen Wert der Arbeit: Es muss unterhaltsam sein. Denn am Ende kürt das Publikum die Siegerin oder den Sieger des Abends.
