Cellular arrangement of matter is a building principle of nature. The combination of material and structural properties results in a marked change of properties of solids. Nowadays physicists, chemists, materials scientists and engineers explore those effects by synthesising, characterising, and modeling of cellular structures from all material classes.
Applications have been identified in the fields of energy efficiency, light weight construction, novel and efficient conversion concepts or biomedical repair functions, just to mention a few. In order to bring together experts from the polymer, ceramic, glass and metal communities dealing with cellular materials, the CellMAT conference series was started in 2010.
The 3rd CellMAT conference will cover all aspects of manufacturing, modification, joining, property analysis and modeling of cellular materials. Featured side events will focus on general characterisation methods for cellular materials and applications with regard to energy efficiency.
International experts will give plenary lectures about applications in automotive and transportation, in mechanical engineering, for chemical and energy systems, for environmental purposes or for micro and medical devices and functions.
The 3-days conference comes up as a discussion panel for researchers, manufacturers, and users of cellular materials.
During the conference, the best three posters will be honoured as well as the best oral contributions held by junior researchers.
We cordially invite you to join the CellMAT conference, to be held in the beautiful city of Dresden, and share your experience in cellular materials with your fellow colleagues.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
