The workshop concludes the project “Neighbourhood effects: Analysis of individual rational behaviour in a social context”. The project consortium consists of RWI, the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and the University of Melbourne.
The aim of the project is to geo-reference existing micro-level data sets, e.g. SOEP or IEB, and to enrich them with information at a highly disaggregate regional level. This allows for econometric analyses of the social context on individual behaviour, such as unemployment benefit recipiency, exit from unemployment, or youth education and health.

For registration, please send an e-mail no later than 18 May 2014 to fdz@rwi-essen.de with the subject “workshop registration”, including your name, institution and information on whether you would like to participate both days and whether you want to attend the conference dinner on 5 June 2014. Please note that the attendance is restricted to 70 persons. We therefore encourage you to register as early as possible.
