Summer School: Methods in Molecular Energy Research
The MPI for Chemical Energy Conversion organises a Summer School with the topic:
Methods in Molecular Energy Research: Theory and Spectroscopy
It will take place from August 31st to September 6th, at the Wissenschaftspark Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
This summer school is designed for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in the general field of molecular energy research and inorganic chemistry. Participants will be introduced to a wide range of spectroscopic methods by international experts, while practical sessions will focus on calculations of electronic structure and spectroscopic properties with quantum chemical methods.
Topics:
• Basic density functional theory calculations
• Ligand field theory, Spin Hamiltonian formalism
• EPR, X-ray spectroscopy, Mössbauer, MCD, vibrational spectroscopy
• Calculation of spectroscopic parameters
• Advanced special interest lectures

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
