Das Solar Decathlon Europe findet vom 28. Juni bis zum 14. Juli 2014 im Schlosspark von Versailles bei Paris statt. An dem Wettbewerb nehmen 20 internationale Universitätsmannschaften mit über 800 Studierenden teil und präsentieren ihre Prototypen energieautarker Solarhäuser. Aus Deutschland sind die Teams ROOFTOP aus Berlin, OnTop aus Frankfurt und TechStyle Haus aus Erfurt dabei.
Neben der Veranstaltung bietet der „Deutsche Tag“ Interessierten unter anderem eine Ausstellung zur deutschen Energiewende sowie weitere Informationsangebote verschiedener Institutionen.
