Um 1900 reiste der Pilger von Welt mit der Eisenbahn durchs Heilige Land. Vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg wurden gleich mehrere Bahnstrecken mit deutschem Geld und Know How durch den Orient geschlagen. Dr. Karin Berkemann liest Eisenbahngeschichte(n) und berichtet aus einer Zeit, als man sich für das Reisen noch Zeit nahm.
