Diese Fragen diskutieren Prof. Dr. Jürgen Trabant (FU Berlin), Prof. Winfried Thielmann (TU Chemnitz), Dr. Gisela Schneider (DAAD) und Dr. Louise Röska-Hardy (KWI) im Rahmen des Projektes DEUTSCH 3.0, einer Initiative des Goethe-Instituts am 4. November 2014 um 19 Uhr im Gartensaal des Kulturwissenschaftlichen Instituts Essen (KWI) im Gespräch mit Prof. Dr. Claus Leggewie (KWI). Dabei stehen die Vor- und Nachteile einer verstärkt englischsprachigen Kommunikation in den Geisteswissenschaften, aber auch die Konsequenzen für die europäische Sprachförderpolitik und die sprachpolitische Ausgestaltung des universitären Forschungs- und Lehrbetriebs im Fokus.
„DEUTSCH 3.0 – Debatten über Sprache und ihre Zukunft“ ist eine Initiative des Goethe-Instituts in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Duden, dem Institut für Deutsche Sprache und dem Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft. DEUTSCH 3.0 ist eine Einladung zum gemeinsamen Dialog über unsere Sprache und ihre Zukunft und bietet eine Plattform für sprachkulturelle Debatten, Vorträge, Performances, Dialoge etc. rund um die deutsche Sprache – verbunden mit der Frage nach der aktuellen und zukünftigen Rolle und Bedeutung der deutschen Sprache als einem Schlüsselinstrument unserer sozialen, kulturellen und ökonomischen Weiterentwicklung.
