Pollution and the Environment in Ancient Life and Thought

Umweltverschmutzung und Umweltbewusstsein von Menschen in der Antike sind Thema einer internationalen Tagung vom 16. bis 18. Oktober in Berlin. Die Veranstaltung der Freien Universität Berlin in Kooperation mit dem Exzellenzcluster Topoi beschäftigt sich mit einem bislang wenig beachteten Thema und fragt, ob es bereits in der Antike eine Sensibilität für die Umwelt gab und wie die Verschmutzung oder Zerstörung der Natur und der Umgang mit natürlichen Ressourcen in dieser Zeit debattiert wurde.
