Das Orientierungssemester wird es erstmals ab April 2015 an der Hochschule Merseburg geben. Es richtet sich an alle, die ausprobieren möchten, ob sie ein technisch-naturwissenschaftliches Studium beginnen möchten und welche Fachrichtung für sie in Frage kommt.
Das Orientierungssemester beinhaltet fachliche Qualifizierungsangebote, berufspraktische Orientierungsmöglichkeiten und Angebote zur sozialen und methodischen Kompetenzerweiterung. Diese Form des Studiums auf Probe ist in Sachsen-Anhalt neu und bisher einmalig.
