Wenn ein Computer eine Website langsam aufbaut, ist das ärgerlich. Wenn aber die Elektronik im Flugzeug nicht absolut pünktlich Befehle verarbeitet, kann das lebensgefährlich werden. Björn Brandburg untersucht mit seinem Team, wie solche Echtzeitsysteme, wie sie etwa in Flugzeugen, Satelliten und Autos benötigt werden, zuverlässig funktionieren. Welche ungewohnten Herausforderungen das an die Informatik stellt, zeigt er in seinem Vortrag. Warum können wir der Technik vertrauen? Was ist notwendig, um sie verlässlich zu machen?
