Nachrichten sind zu einer Massenware geworden, täglich kämpfen wir gegen eine Informationsflut an. Das Ergebnis: Geistige Überlastung und mangelnde Konzentrationsfähigkeit. Es fällt uns zunehmend schwerer, wichtige von unwichtigen Informationen zu unterscheiden, unser Urteilsvermögen schwindet. Die Digitalisierung stellt nicht nur den traditionellen Journalismus in Frage, sondern, noch viel schlimmer, unsere Demokratie. Was können wir dagegen tun? Was passiert mit dem gesellschaftlichen Konsens, wenn der „traditionelle“ Informationskanon – Tagesschau, Tageszeitung und Rundfunk – nicht mehr gilt? Können Blogs regulieren und die vierte Gewalt im Staat übernehmen?
