Den Auftakt bildet die Vorlesung von Prof. Dr. Olaf Drögehorn, Prorektor für Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien sowie E-Learning an der Hochschule Harz, zum Thema „Mobile Telekommunikation – Notwendiges Übel, Chance oder einfach nur der nächste Schritt?“.
Der Dozent vermittelt in seinem Vortrag nicht nur Basiswissen zur mobilen Kommunikation, sondern erklärt zudem deren Bedeutung und Nutzen. Weiterhin verdeutlicht er den Wandel der Kommunikation im Laufe der Zeit und erläutert Wechselwirkungen bezüglich gesellschaftlicher Veränderungen; dabei geht der Experte auch auf Trends, Highlights und Nischen ein. Die allgegenwärtige Informationsflut und -vielfalt wird ebenfalls beleuchtet.
Prof. Dr. Olaf Drögehorn ist seit 2011 als Professor für Software-Engineering und Internet-Technologien am Fachbereich Automatisierung und Informatik der Hochschule Harz tätig, seit 2012 ist er Prorektor für Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien sowie E-Learning. Der erfolgreiche Unternehmer und studierte Informatiker forscht unter anderem zu den Themen Mobile Dienste, Informationsvielfalt, „Future Internet“ und Kommunikationswandel.
