The central topic of the 5th Freiberg Innovations Symposium will bridge the serious gap between the disparity of short-, mid- and long-term raw material and energy challenges. Globalization is
the buzzword. Is humankind prepared to master resource related challenges in the upcoming three to five decades without further conflicts? Our symposium looks at these global aspects with regard to the required resources, attempts to pinpoint opportunities as well as risks and outlines necessary measures. The Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology and the TU Bergakademie Freiberg invite you to discuss demanding questions, communicate most recent developments and to jointly contribute to finding solutions to these questions. The event aims at decision makers in the industry, politics and science.
Kernthema des nunmehr 5. Symposiums Freiberger Innovationen ist die ernstzunehmende Lücke zwischen den kurz-, mittel- und langfristigen Herausforderungen der Energie- und Rohstoffvorsorge. Globalisierung ist das Schlagwort. Sind wir tatsächlich darauf vorbereitet, die absehbaren Herausforderungen der kommenden drei bis fünf Dekaden zu meistern, ohne weitere Konflikte auszulösen? In unserer Veranstaltung werden diese globalen Aspekte im Hinblick auf die notwendige Ressourcenbasis betrachtet, Chancen sowie Risiken verdeutlicht und erforderliche Maßnahmen empfohlen. Das Helmholtz-Institut Freiberg für Ressourcentechnologie und die TU Bergakademie Freiberg laden Sie dazu ein, drängende Fragen zu diskutieren, aktuellste Entwicklungen zu kommunizieren und gemeinsam einen Beitrag zur Lösung dieser Fragen zu leisten. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Entscheidungsträger in Wirtschaft, Politik und Wissenschaft.
