The 2-days conference will investigate the role of peer review and open access in university knowledge
dissemination and evaluation. Day 1 will address peer review, with a particular attention to its role in ensuring
quality and efficiency of knowledge dissemination and evaluation. Day 2 will address open access in knowledge
dissemination, with a particular focus on potentials and implications of new ways to disseminate knowledge for
evaluating the quality of research. The academic discussions on peer review and open access will be guided, locally
grounded, and summarised by an accompanying panel of university managers from Johannes Gutenberg
University Mainz (JGU) responsible for handling the knowledge landscapes of their university on a daily basis. The
conference is co-sponsored by the two EU COST Actions “New Frontiers of Peer Review” PEERE, www.peere.org
and “Analyzing the Dynamics of Information and Knowledge Landscapes” KNOWeSCAPE, www.knowescape.org.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
