Das chinesische Neujahrsfest, auch bekannt als Frühlingsfest, ist das wichtigste traditionelle Fest und ein Feiertag in China. Das Datum variiert in jedem Jahr. Es fällt jedoch immer zwischen den 21. Januar und den 20. Februar und wird nach dem chinesischen Kalender, der offiziellen Zeitrechnung des früheren Kaiserreichs China, bestimmt. Diesem Kalender entsprechend startet in China das Jahr 2016 mit der ersten Neumondnacht am 8. Februar. Die Gesellschaft chinesischer Akademiker an der TU Berlin e.V. will es nicht nur mit Studierenden, Familien und Freunden, sondern mit allen Interessierten an der chinesischen Kultur feiern.
