Die im letzten Jahr durchgeführte Aktionswoche "Zukunft Licht" wird in 2016 im Rahmen eines Kolloquiums fortgeführt. Kooperationspartner der Veranstaltungsreihe sind auch in diesmal das Lichtforum NRW sowie die Lichttechnische Gesellschaft des Ruhrgebiets. Den Auftakt bildet Andre Hessling, Technical Fellow der UTC Aerospace Systems, mit dem Thema "Besondere Anforderungen an die Beleuchtung in der Luftfahrt" am Mittwoch, den 13. April 2016 um 17.30 Uhr. Sein Vortrag gibt einen Überblick über Anforderungen und Trends der Innen- und Außenbeleuchtung in der zivilen Luftfahrtindustrie.
