Erwin Wagenhofer stellt sich in seinem 2013 erschienenen Film „Alphabet – Angst oder Liebe“ die Frage, ob die Schulsysteme einer leistungsorientierten Welt die individuellen Bedürfnisse der einzelnen Kinder berücksichtigen können. Der Film geht weit über die üblichen Diskussionen um Schülerstress und Leistungsdruck hinaus.
