Her first collection, Public Dream (Picador, 2007), was one of the most acclaimed debuts of recent years. It was shortlisted for a number of literary prizes, such as the T S Eliot Prize. Her second collection, Disinformation (Picador, 2015), was shortlisted for the International Dylan Thomas Prize. Frances Leviston was praised for combining “technical mastery with a lucidity that verges on the hypnotic” (The Independent). In 2006, she received an Eric Gregory Award from the Society of Authors. Her poems have appeared in Poetry, London Review of Books, the Guardian, The Times, the TLS, Edinburgh Review, and Granta/British Council New Writing.
