Angesichts der aktuellen Entwicklungen in der Türkei widmet sich die Veranstaltung aus wissenschaftlicher Perspektive der Frage, wie die politische Konstellation und der Ausnahmezustand sich auf die demokratischen Grundrechte verschiedener Bevölkerungsgruppen auswirken. Anhand von Fallbeispielen wird insbesondere auch auf die Formierung von widerständigen Praktiken auf zivilgesellschaftlicher und politischer Ebene eingegangen.
Die Veranstaltung wird von der ASH Berlin in Kooperation mit dem Bildungswerk der Heinrich Böll Stiftung sowie den weiterbildenden Studiengängen „MA Soziale Arbeit als Menschenrechtsprofession (MRMA)“ und „MA Social Work as a Human Rights Profession (SWHR)“ organisiert.
