Neurochirurgen sind hoch spezialisiert und führen sehr komplexe,
minimal-invasive Eingriffe am Nervensystem mit höchster Präzision
durch: Sie entfernen Tumore im Gehirn, operieren Schäden
der Wirbelsäule oder versorgen Verletzungen der peripheren Nerven.
Seit 2017 ist die Klinik für Neurochirurgie auch am Campus Charité
Mitte mit hochmodernen Operationssälen vertreten.
Ein spezieller OP-Saal ist mit neuester medizinischer Bildgebung
ausgestattet: Mithilfe des Magnetresonanztomographen (MRT)
kann der Chirurg während der Operation Gewebe darstellen und
so die Größe des Hirntumors in jedem Stadium des Eingriffs überprüfen.
Vorteile: Der Eingriff ist schonender für das Gehirn und die
technologische Unterstützung erlaubt dem Operateur dabei bislang
ungeahnte Höchstleistungen für seine Patienten.
