Wickhams monumentales Werk „Framing the Early Middle Ages. Europe and the Mediterranean, 400-800“ von 2005 wurde mit dem hochdotierten britischen Wolfson Prize for History, dem Deutscher Memorial Prize und dem Henry Breasted Prize der American Historical Association ausgezeichnet.
Er schreibt zum Konzept seines Vortrags: „The 8th century is a turning-point in the early middle ages, so it needs to be understood in the light of both what changed then and what did not change. This paper mirrors that of Stefan Esders on what came before the 8th century; in this paper, I will focus on what came afterwards, and in what sense things changed, either in the 8th century itself or in the succeeding period. The role of the century of this conference in the longue durée may be clearer as a result.“

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
