This years conference theme is dedicated to “Social Simulation for Social Policy“, especially focusing on Urban Planning and Demographic Change. SSC 2019 features an exciting conference program, including 113 papers and 29 posters in thirteen Special Tracks and one poster session, a PhD Colloquium, three Round Table discussions, a fishbowl, and four workshops. We have four excellent keynote speakers in Nigel Gilbert (University of Surrey, UK), Joshua Epstein (New York University, USA), Gert Jan Hofstede (Wageningen University, NL) and Erik Johnston (Arizona State University, USA), as well as student contributions dealing with the challenges future cities have to face.
