Research Institute on Leadership and Operations in Humanitarian Aid (Riloha) and Hapag-Lloyd Center for Shipping and Global Logistics (CSGL) invite the following two experts to discuss how the international community can help alleviate the staggering number of deaths at sea:

The panelists will provide you with background information about their activities, followed by the panel discussion with the involvement of the audience. The discussion focuses on the following key questions:
How has the Mediterranean Sea crisis evolved during the recent years?
What is the way forward to mitigate the life loss at sea?
What is the role of humanitarian organizations such as Sea-Watch in this context?
What are the main planning and operational challenges during a search and rescue operation in the context of migration and sea emergencies?
How has the cooperation among the involved stakeholders evolved over time?
