As part of the "KI Science Film on Tour" initiative ("KI" German for AI) sponsored by the German Ministry of Education and Research, the Science & Innovation team of the British Embassy Berlin together with BITKOM and ZAK | Centre for Cultural and General Studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) are inviting you to look at artificial intelligence through a filmmaker’s lens.
Join us on 2nd December 2019 for a special evening event reuniting science and fiction that features a number of AI short films and an expert panel, both focusing on the field of computer science that is already fundamentally influencing all areas of society and will revolutionise them further in the future.
What are the real and fictional implications of AI on society and our everyday lives?
Terminator versus WALL-E, how accurate are AI and modern technologies viewed in science fiction and to what extent does it represent today's state of research?
Why are we prone to viewing the future of artificial intelligence in dystopian terms?
These and other questions will be debated in a panel discussion with insights from scientists and filmmakers. As put in the UK’s long-running Science Fiction series Doctor Who: "When Two Worlds Collide, Anything Can Happen!"

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
