Im Anschluss folgt eine Podiumsdiskussion. Miriam Koch (Leiterin des Amts für Migration und Integration der Stadt Düsseldorf), Prof. Dr. Susanne Spindler (HSD), Ahmad Ali Ahmadi (Filmemacher) und Masoomeh Jafari (ehemalige Bewohnerin des Lagers Moria) diskutieren unter anderen die Frage nach Handlungsoptionen und Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten für geflüchtete Menschen an den EU-Außengrenzen.
Die Veranstaltung wird organisiert vom Refugee Support Project (AStA HSD), FORENA, Erinnerungsort Alter Schlachthof (HSD), Kulturverein Chaharda Massoum e. V. und unterstützt vom Fachbereich Sozial- und Kulturwissenschaften der Hochschule Düsseldorf sowie der Lobby für Demokratie.
