#3 Online-Session »Advanced flexible circuits for novel applications«

Application of flex technology for radar systems

Flex technology enables entirely new types of IoT radar system, which is characterized by high deployment flexibility and low cost. In this talk, different flex radar approaches and their application will be presented.

Speaker: D. Christian Tschoban

Be part of our second lecture session on March 15, 2022: Within 45 minutes we would like to show you one presentation and afterwards our experts will be available in a deep dive for your questions and comments. Participation is free of charge, registration is required.

Radar technology is one of the most exciting sensor technologies today, which has become more and more widespread in recent years. It was developed in the 40s of the last century, but only 50 years later it had its breakthrough for civilian use. Today radar sensors are used for motion detection as well as for distance measurement. By the advancement to MIMO radar systems they can determine today also from which space direction targets come and that without any mechanical movement. Through the application of Flex technology, this innovative technology can also be adapted to the respective application and thus enables the path to cognitive radar systems. In the lecture the possibilities of this adaptability are shown together with the respective application. In addition, the weaknesses of current technology approaches will be discussed and suggestions for improvement will be derived.

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
